The Casstrom Hunter 10 Knife by Karesuando is handcrafted in the Swedish part of Lapland in a traditional northern scandinavian way.
The Blade is either 10cm (4.2 inches) long or 8cm (3.15") depending if you have the Hunter 8 or Hunter 10.
The blades width is 2.4cm (0.95") and is 3mm thick, is Very Sharp and is made from high quality Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel (hardened to HRC 57). This blade holds an exellent edge.
The blade extends with an internal tang that stretches approx 2.5" into the handle and is secured very firmly so that it will not come loose it also aids balance. In fact Karesuando offers a Life-time Guarantee that if the blade comes loose you will get a new one !
Basically the blade will never come loose!
The Handle is made from oiled and stained curly birch, reindeer antler and a brass bolster.
The Sheath is handmade, welted and stitched together from 3mm vegetable tanned cow/ox hide leather in a slick and functional design with a belt loop at the back.
This knife is brilliant for shooting, deer stalking, hunting, fishing and forest activities. It is also suitable for carving and could be used in all kinds of outdoor activities such as survival exercises, bushcraft and camping.
